Frequently Asked Questions
What is on each CD?

Each Travel Time Stories audio book CD has four or five classic children’s stories. Every story has an introduction to explain what to listen for in the story, and a classical music excerpt played by a symphony or chamber orchestra as a background to the introduction’s audio track. Your child's name will be printed on the custom CD’s colorful label.

What ages are these stories most suitable for?

These stories will appeal most to children from five to ten years old.

Have these stories been adapted?

The stories have been adapted to replace some of the archaic language in the original translations; however, the story lines have not been softened. For example, in Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf dies; it does not get taken to the zoo.

How long does each CD run?

Travel Time Stories CDs running times are between 60 and 74 minutes.

Will the CD work in all of my CD or DVD players?

Since each CD is custom made, we use a process known as CD duplication which uses CD-R disks. Every order is processed individually to a CD-R, on which we print the custom label with your child's name.

Most high volume CDs are made using a process called replication, which “stamps out” copies of a master disk. Replication is not practical for custom made CDs.

We have tested our CDs in many different CD players, and have found that they work well. However, we have also tested them using a 10-year old DVD player that plays standard CDs, but will not play a CD-R. If you are not sure that your CD player will play a duplicated CD, then please test it with a CD-R (any teenager will have a large number of them) before ordering a custom CD from us.

Why don’t you use CD jewel cases?

Standard CD jewel cases’ plastic hinges are fragile, and break too easily. We use clear plastic clamshell cases that are much more durable, and take up a lot less space.

Is there a customer satisfaction guarantee?

All of our CDs are backed by our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with the CD for any reason, you may return it for a refund. Please send the CD back to us and include a letter telling us why you were not satisfied with the CD and what we could do to meet your expectations. When we receive the CD, we will promptly issue you a refund. Our shipping charges are not refundable.

Will you print my child's first and middle names on the label instead of first and last names?

Yes, we can print the CD label that includes the child's first and middle names, instead of first and last names. To use a middle name and not a last name, please enter the middle name in the last name field.

How long does it take to receive the CD once it has been ordered?

Your CD(s) will be shipped within seven business days after your order date. Please check your order carefully, as any errors subsequently brought to our attention will necessitate our starting over, and the delivery time will be adjusted accordingly.

How much does shipping cost?

There is a flat fee of $4.95 per order to addresses in the USA or Canada. We currently only ship to these two countries.

What shipping method do you use?

All orders are shipped by United States Postal Service.

Do you ship internationally?

Only to Canada.

Do you ship by overnight express delivery?

No. Each CD is custom made, and our production processes take time. Overnight express delivery will not appreciably shorten the time before you receive the CD, but it would significantly increase your cost.

Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses or an APO addresses?

How do I ship CDs to different addresses within one order?
