Real stories. Unexpected journeys. Finding your way back to yourself.

BIO:

Shannon Lamkin is an author, speaker, travel advisor, and the creator and host of the internationally listened-to podcast Travel Time Stories, where real journeys become powerful conversations about resilience, identity, healing, and the human experience.

After spending much of her life defined by the roles of wife, mother, caregiver, and employee, Shannon reached a turning point that many people experience but few talk about: asking herself, Who am I beneath all the labels? That question launched a journey of self-discovery that transformed not only her life but also her purpose.

Today, Shannon helps others navigate life's unexpected detours by sharing honest conversations about reinvention, overcoming trauma, finding your voice, and embracing new possibilities at any stage of life. Through her podcast, writing, and speaking, she creates spaces where people feel seen, heard, and reminded they are not alone in their own stories.

As the author of the upcoming memoir series Map Back to Me and the women's fiction Wrong Turns, Right People and Elsewhere Together Series, Shannon believes that our greatest healing often begins when we have the courage to tell our stories—and truly listen to the stories of others.

Whether speaking about midlife reinvention, parenting through mental illness, surviving abusive relationships, caregiving, travel as personal transformation, or the power of authentic connection, Shannon brings warmth, honesty, humor, and hope to every conversation.

Her message is simple:

Every journey has a story. Every story has the power to heal.
