SPEAKER_01

I was like, oh, that was slick, man.

SPEAKER_02

She good. She good. So of course I end up very good. I end up at the end of the night to take an Uber home. They had to tow the the rolls away. And I'm thinking to myself, hold on a second. I left home at the beginning of the night with a Rolls Royce. I pick up my beautiful girlfriend, I take her to the Ritz Carlton. She then brings out another beautiful girl. I end up with no Rolls Ro no Rolls Royce. No girlfriends. Didn't even have sex with my ex. And then I end up coming home with an Uber. I'm about the only guy I know that could pull that off.

SPEAKER_01

Every journey has a story. And every story has the power to heal. My story hasn't been ordinary. I was adopted. I'm a survivor of abuse and trauma, and I have more than a dozen siblings. That's just the beginning of my story. Life has taken me on a long and winding road of healing and personal growth. A journey that ultimately led me back to myself and the path I was meant to walk. Along the way, I discovered that stories have power. The power to connect us, to help us grow, and even to help us heal. This is Travel Time Stories with Shannon. Real journeys, real stories, and real healing. Three. Okay. Oh, so have you ever looked at yourself younger? Now see, Steven, you threw me all off by doing the countdown. Look what you did.

SPEAKER_02

100% my fault, Jenny.

SPEAKER_01

It's the Englishman's fault, people.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, totally.

SPEAKER_01

So have you ever looked at your younger self and thought, what on earth was I thinking?

SPEAKER_04

Or stayed in a situation long after your heart knew it was over.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Sometimes the hardest words we'll ever say aren't, I love you.

SPEAKER_04

Sometimes they're enough is enough.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So tonight our favorite relationship philosopher is back at the table and the wine is already poured in my little cuckoo.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I love it. Is it a unicorn? Oh, yeah. Is that a Stanley cup? It looks like a Stanley Cup. Those things are all the rage, aren't they? Everybody wants to be a cup of course. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody has to have one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Do you have one as part of your marketing? Maybe you should make one. I should probably, yes.

SPEAKER_02

We would probably sell more on the books.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. There you go.

SPEAKER_02

As long as they put tomatoes on the front, and we have no problem.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So welcome back to Travel Time Stories, where we share real journeys, real stories, and real healing. Now, usually we introduce our guest, but today feels different because today's guest feels like one of those friends who walks in your front door and immediately starts another conversation where the last one left off. So, Steven, welcome back. We saved your seat and yes, and made sure we had wine this time.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Definitely. Perfect. Well, thank you so much for having me back. I gotta tell you, ladies, I did a I did a conference earlier today. It was four hour long, right? So I was sitting down early and I was like, God, I'm so exhausted. And as soon as I came on with you guys, I was like rejuvenated. I've got tons of energy. I've excited again. So that right there tells you a lot, right? That right there tells you a lot.

SPEAKER_04

A lot. Exactly. So the first time Dr. Stephen Paul Edwards joined us, we talked about toxic love, relationships, vulnerability, and the Venus flytrap, sex lies, and repercussions. It quickly became one of those conversations that stayed with us long after the microphones were turned off.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. And he's back once again. And this time we're talking about the Venus Flytrap 2. Enough is enough. Things might get a little heated. So if you wanted a PG show, I suggest you bugger off. We don't have bloody time for that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no. Hey, you know what though? I gotta correct you. I gotta correct you. Sometimes enough is enough. But the book is called The Venus Flytrap 2. Enough is never enough.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, sorry about that.

SPEAKER_02

It's really a call out to, you know, when you're addicted to something, right? You cannot get enough of it, right? And that's kind of how I was with Tomas. But in the end, obviously I had to decide, no, enough is enough, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right, exactly. So let's start with you since we last talked. How have you been? And has anything changed?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I've been great. Thank you very much for asking. I've got a lot of projects going on, which we talked a little bit about. The world has definitely changed, hasn't it? You know, with everything that's going on. Oh yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Which I think is affecting us all in some way, shape, or form. I know it's affected, you know, my other businesses because everyone's so scared. They're so uncertain, right? No one knows what's going to happen. Because literally nobody does know what is going to happen, right? No. Exactly. Yeah. Very difficult for businesses. You know, people are getting laid off. You know, you know what I mean, right? There's a lot of people that are getting laid off and they don't know what to do. And then with everything going on with the price of oil and the cost of living, it's just very uncertain times for people, you know? Very unless the work that you do is even more important than ever. The people need a respite, they need some fun, right? They need to laugh a little bit, right? Yes, exactly. They need some positive energy because it is so negative out there, right?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah. And then we're facing the the we're facing the storm in the Gulf now, too. I know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And it's I don't know that it's uh looks like it, I don't think it looks like a hurricane yet, but we're getting into hurricane season, right? Very soon.

SPEAKER_01

Right, exactly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Yep. And um, you know, you like you say in England they're suffering. I mean, it is suffering in England, right? I mean, it's hot here in America, but we got air conditioning, right? In England. Yeah. Right. American people go to England and go, what's with this no air conditioning thing? That's ridiculous, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And the pub we were in, the guy was like, but we have air conditioning, it's on right now. And I was like, dude, that is what we call a fan in America. I said, air conditioning in America is my house stays at 65 degrees. Yeah. He was like, his eyes got so big, he's like, I couldn't imagine you know, a home being that cold.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, mine is that cold too. I like it cool. I like it cold too. Yeah, so anyway, you know, and of course, we've got a lot of challenges here with the weather, aren't we? A lot of places are experiencing these storms and these floods, and yeah, you can't help but think, you know, that it was prophesized a long time ago that all this would have, wow, it's true. It's really happening, right? Right, yeah. Is there gonna be floods? Is there gonna be storms? You know, all this other oh, yeah. And it's not just here in America, though, it's it's like all over the world, isn't it? There's just strange stuff going on with the world.

SPEAKER_04

Earthquakes, it's crazy, just all kinds of stuff going on.

SPEAKER_02

But the good news is we're here, we're safe, we've got the kettle on, we're gonna have a cup of tea and maybe a little bit of wine, and we're gonna have a good time, right? Exactly. All right, so what do you want to ask me? We've got this second book out. You guys are you're you're teasing me, right? Because I got online. I'm just gonna tell, I'm gonna spill the tea on you guys, right? So I get on here and straight away, Shannon goes, Stephen, I got a bone to pick with you. Tell me what it is, right? She's sitting there going, is he gonna ask me what the bone is? Yes, I'm asking, what is the bone, Shannon?

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, so I read obviously the first book. Yeah, and then I finished book two now, Venus Flytrap two, only to discover in finishing book two, I thought, okay, book two is it, right? No, I get this huge cliffhanger at the end of book two, yeah, that tells me that there's another book.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I've I get it, I get it now. Yeah, that is kind of like, what? I read through two damn books. Give me the end. I deserve it.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly, Stephen. I'm like, what are you doing to me? This is torture.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, you know, it's funny because I originally thought when I started to write, I'm gonna never in my mind did I think it was gonna go to a book two. I was like, this is just a book, one book, you know. But I hadn't, I hadn't realized how much stuff happened, right? What went on? You know what I mean? I hadn't really until I was writing, right? And it just, oh, I gotta share this. And then there's 23 chapters in there, right? It's like, no, I can't get it all into one book. There's no chance. And even writing the second book, the same thing started to happen. There was a lot to it, you know, a lot to it. And you know, when you're reading, I don't know whether you guys felt this, but you know, you're reading through and you're going, gosh, they must have been together about a year and a half now. And you go, this is in four months. Oh, that happened in four months? How is that even possible? Exactly. Yeah, it's insane. Nonstop, non-stop.

SPEAKER_04

Insane. Yeah, so you you haven't gotten weak or anything and let the Venus fly trap back in, have you? Because in case we have standby flights ready when you need us to come and help you.

SPEAKER_02

Did I tell you that she'd been in touch with me? No.

SPEAKER_01

I I think last time you said that she tried to reach out to you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she did.

SPEAKER_01

And that you didn't respond.

SPEAKER_02

And I didn't, and I haven't, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, and you haven't. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's not easy not to respond. Not because I'm drawn back to her, but it it, you know, it's not normal when someone tries to contact you, you just don't say anything, you know what I mean? But I realized I've got to stay strong in that because it's not gonna get anywhere. You know what I mean? It's not gonna be a good thing. Once that foot is in the door, I'm gonna be in trouble, right? Yeah. So she's been really trying to do a lot to get that door to open. I don't know if I told you she'd been contacting all the podcasts I've been in, trying to come on as a guest, saying that it's all lies. And so people would reach out to me and say, Steven, you know that she's reached out, she wants to come on the show, and I told her no. I said, You tell her yes, tell her come on. I want to hear what she's gotta say, you know what I mean? So, and I said, Listen, I don't want you to feel like you can't have her on. She's got her own story, her own perspective. But I also, you know, when she's trying to get into the royalties of the book and all this other stuff, and my dad says, Tell her to write her own damn book. You know what I mean? Right? Right. Somebody else's coattails or say that it isn't true. Just write your own book, you know. And I thought Yeah, write her version. I thought that was a good credibility. So no, nothing I haven't responded to her, and I have no intention of responding to her because it's it's not gonna be a good thing. No, yeah, you know, definitely not. So um so far, so good, ladies. And I appreciate it.

SPEAKER_04

She'll get her claws, she'll get her claws back in.

SPEAKER_02

We can't have that. That's right. And you know, there were times I think should I? And I thought Shannon and Anne would kill me. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

You keep that in your mind, Steven.

SPEAKER_02

We're your support group.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's right. We're your support group.

SPEAKER_02

I love it. I and I need that, ladies. I need you.

SPEAKER_01

All right, so you finished book two. What do you think? I love book two, just don't like the cliffhanger that I'm left on, and now I'm waiting for what do you think about the cliffhanger? Steven, my question to you about the cliffhanger is this how does a man who does not like threesomes now bring in another woman who is on pretty much the same level as Tomaz?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Wow, good question. I'll get back to you. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding, right? I'm kidding, right? So I didn't, you know, this other lady that comes in, I didn't meet her when I was with Tomaz. Tomaz and I had already broken up, right? And I was now that you want to listen, this is a crazy story, right? Yeah, go figure, right? So I broke up with Tomaz and I got this opportunity to do a speaking event in Australia. I thought, wow, it's me good, right? Get away, you know, getting over Tomaz. So I don't know how it's so the it's 16-hour time difference, right? So you're awake in the middle of the night, right? You know, nobody, nobody in America's uh available, right? So this is gonna sound a weird way to come about this, but it it's that's what happened. So uh I don't know if you'd heard about this. There's a there's a uh a dating site, it's a weird dating site. It's called Ashley Madison.

SPEAKER_01

Of course, who hasn't heard of it, Steven? You'd have to be under a rock, not to have a big room.

SPEAKER_02

Right, right, right, right, right. So so it was in the media and you got all this attention and what it was and what it wasn't. I said, I'll just go check it out. It's one of the weirdest places I've ever been to in my life. It was so freaking weird. But it's also obviously a site that people go to literally to cheat on their partner, right? You have an extramarital, extra relationship, extra relationship really. Anyway, I didn't find her on there, you'll be glad to know. I did not find her on there. For some reason, I just thought, you know, let me go back to the website I met Tomaz on. How stupid can you be, right? How stupid can you be? So I met Tamil on the website I met Tomaz. Now Tamil and Tomaz. That sounds like two wins. Exactly, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What are the chances anyway? So um so we started talking and her profile, I think, said she lived in Naples, Florida. She didn't. She lived in the same town I did. She lived down the street.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

So think about this. I go, I go around the world to meet a woman who lives down the road from me. How crazy is that? Is that like stalker-ish or what? I mean, well, anyway, anyway, and she was as crazy as Tomaz, right? So in actual fact, here's the thing Tomaz is never gonna go on clinical, uh clinical diagnosis, right? But I know that she has borderline personality disorder because it's so obvious when you know what the symptoms are, right? It's pretty obvious. So the other thing you gotta know is right. So I'm in Australia. I meet Tamil, and who calls me? Tomaz. Tomaz. Yeah. How are you doing? Right? I go, doing great. Oh yeah? Are you dating anybody? And I hate to lie, so I go, actually, yeah. Really? Who? Like an idiot, I start telling her, right? And where'd you meet her? What's her name? You know, she puts the phone down 30 minutes later, she knows exactly who it freaking is, right? This is who you met, this is her name. I'm like, how could you even know that, right? Apparently it's not as hard as you think. So now she's texting to meal and telling her all kinds of things about me to sabotage the relationship, right? So, but I I I I don't know what she but you can imagine they ain't gonna be good, right? She did the same thing to Jen, my former wife, right? She starts calling her all the time and telling her all kinds of stories. So she tainted the relationship right out the right out of the gate. And uh so then at one point I'm with Tamil and she tells me, listen to this lady, she tells me that her mother had borderline personality disorder. Oh my gosh. It's often inherited, you see.

SPEAKER_01

And right then you should have run and never looked back, Stephen. I know, I know.

SPEAKER_02

But you know, you can take the spots off the tiger, but you can't take the tiger out of the spots. I just made that up, by the way. I've never even heard that before, but it sounded pretty good. So I go through another tumultuous relationship, and then we break up, and I go back to Tomaz, and then Tomaz and I break up, and I go back to Timmy, and I know by the time it's finished, I got nothing. I got nothing left by the time it's over. But there were some really funny, because you can imagine, some funny times in between that uh, you know, the the book is funny. It's go you're still going on an emotional roller coaster, obviously, right? And the beauty that the the end for Tomaz and I is beautiful. It really is beautiful. We both knew, right? But we never spoke it out loud and we never said anything. We had an amazing last night together. And then in the morning we said goodbye and that was it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, at least it ended good.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. It ended because it had to end and it ended it ended amicably, right? She didn't throw me through the She didn't throw me out of a window on the 16th floor or anything, right? Which could have happened, which could have happened.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

You know?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

So, you know, I always had love in my heart for her, and I still do, you know. I mean, I know that she we're all looking for love sometimes in the wrong places in the wrong way, but I knew that about her. I've been through it, and I'm never gonna go through it again, right? And now I have really I really have confirmation of that because you know, people used to say to me, Are you over it? And I go, I have no idea. What do you mean no idea? You've been singing for three years. Yeah, but I don't know until it until I'm put in that situation again. And then I have to see how I react and what I do. But now I know. Now I know. And to be honest, ladies, it hasn't been hard, really, except for the the point of thinking, well, maybe I should say something, and then I go, no, no, no, no. As soon as you do that, you're screwed. So I have no desire to do it again. I have no desire to get back with her. And so I feel good about that. I feel good that I I've done some healing. I might not be healed, but I've done some healing, and so that feels good.

SPEAKER_04

You've done a lot of healing because to get to this point where you cannot answer that call and you are okay with yourself, that's a lot of healing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think so too. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And I hope now you've learned the lesson, Stephen, that when a woman literally tells you up front what they are, yes, run, run the other way. I mean, yeah to my literally told you Venus flytrap for the flower. I mean, she basically told you right there what she was, what it was gonna be. 100%. And then and then Tamil told you too by saying that her mother had borderline personality disorder.

SPEAKER_02

100%. I have no excuse. I gotta put my hands up, take full responsibility. It was never their fault, it was my very own. Yeah, so shoot me.

SPEAKER_01

So so next time, next time a woman tells you that, run. Yeah, remember, Shannon said run.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, just give us a call and we'll we'll we'll check her out for you.

SPEAKER_02

Sounds that's a good deal. That's deal. I I have to say that I am a little lot more aware now. You know what I mean? I I I I don't dive in where what would you say? I don't uh jump in where something fears to tread. What is that saying? You know what I'm talking about. Yes, where don't know what does it say, fools, fools jump in, is that what it's called? Or something like that?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, fools jump in. I can definitely vouch for that. So yeah, I am uh I'm still in process, and you know, it's not like I'm still not dating anybody, and I still really don't have any desire to date anybody. In fact, you know, sometimes I might be in a situation where I'm attracted to them and I go, Yeah, but I'm not I I can't be bothered. It's just too much work. You know what I mean? Now that'll probably that'll probably change over time, but right now I'm happy to be on my own.

SPEAKER_01

Well, nothing wrong with being on your own.

SPEAKER_02

So absolutely not. As long as you're happy with as long as you're happy with the company, right?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah, as long as you're happy with yourself, then great.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, good good company to be in.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So I have another.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I have another burning question for you, Stephen, that I didn't get to ask last time.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So do you still have the sex room?

SPEAKER_02

No. No, no, I don't. No.

SPEAKER_01

Darn it. I was hoping when I visited for Thanksgiving I'd get to see it. Wanted to check it out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I read all about it, so I wanted to see it in person.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not dating anybody, Shannon. I won't be the point. I'm not gonna go sitting there on my own. So I, you know, I'm hopeful that uh if if and when I do get a relationship that um we can uh bring it back. There you go. There you go. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So uh we'll have some fun with that if and when that occurs. But uh yeah, not right, not right now. No, I don't. And you know what's interesting? It's funny you say that because I have a like a video of the house. Because you know, when I sold it, they came in the you know, the realtor came. But I obviously I'm not gonna let them in a section and put that in a video to sell the house, right?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, that might have been a good selling point. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

I know I didn't, but so I really don't have anything, I don't have any pictures of it. I mean, I'm not for me, you know, being from England and you you went to England, so you know how you know how stuffy we are, right? We just don't talk about this kind of thing, yeah. Right. Although, you know, that kind of sexuality is very prevalent in England because it's suppressed, right? So it's gonna come out in some way. But uh yeah, no, I I did I never had a thought of taking a picture. And if I had, I'd been like, I'm not taking a picture, so I might find it. I know about it. But I did take, I took pictures of Tomaz, but you couldn't put that anywhere, right? So Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I can tell you in Iceland, they are their sexuality is not repressed. Good. Nope. We went to uh uh the forest lagoon, which is one of the geothermal lagoons to go in or whatever. And yeah. Everybody strips down naked, all together in one big room, and yeah. I was like, okay. Okay, we're doing this.

SPEAKER_02

But that's right. The Scandinavians are very, very open to nudity and sexuality. They're very they're very open to that. Yes, famous for that, right? Yeah. You go in a sauna?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You did? Yeah, we were in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. The forest lagoon that we went to has the geothermal pools and then has a sauna and the coal plunge and all of that right there on the property. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's all really good for you, you know. Very invigorating. And it really wakes up the body, doesn't it? It's like you know you're alive.

SPEAKER_05

So nice. You know you've been you know you're alive when you come out of one of those.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. And you know by looking around who the foreigners are, because all of us foreigners are the ones that are like, Yeah, we're not used to it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. We're still a little uh what would you call that? A little uh we're not as easy with our bodies, right? No, we're not. Someone upon display, you know, but they're like, what's wrong with you? They walk around the house with people there with no gloves on, you know, they're not sure.

SPEAKER_01

Right, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no gloves.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, to them, nudity is nothing, but we're taught over here, you know, nudity's bad. Like Yeah, we are, right?

SPEAKER_02

And it's all learned behavior because as children about it, right?

SPEAKER_04

No, they don't. That's so much healthier, too. Yes, you know.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But you know, next time we do a group trip, you need to come with us.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if I can handle you two ladies. I mean, yeah, a little scary. But yeah. No, well where where where are you planning on going next?

SPEAKER_04

In March, we have a group trip coming up. And yes, we'll be leaving out of San Juan. Shannon, you can tell the portfolio.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. Yes. I've done a cruise. I actually the cruise I took, I think, I remember. It might have been a couple of things. That cruise that goes both ways, right? So you have it from San uh San Juan, you can have it to Florida, or you can go from Florida to San Juan, right? You can get it both.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Pick pick your pick your destination and uh embarkment. Anyway, so yeah, so and and we stopped at a bunch of islands. You know, we went to, I think we went to Martinique, Saint Martin, Barbados. Uh I mean, you're not there very long, right? You that's there long enough for the locals to skin you alive, right? To say you stop. You know, right. But uh it the the islands are beautiful. I mean, Martinique, of course, which has the French connector St. Martin has the French connection. Martinique is But it makes you think about how all these places have been been um pillaged in a way by European countries. England, Spain, France, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

They were the conquerors back then, weren't they?

SPEAKER_01

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

And now it's really the cruise lines and the hospitality or resorts, right, that have taken over. Uh and as part of it, it kind of feels a little bad because the locals don't get to really participate, do they? You know, they don't get to they're not rewarded. It's my country, but everybody's here making tons of money, and I don't, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, interesting, interesting perspective.

SPEAKER_04

Um we did see a lot of local craft shows and whatnot in the porch.

SPEAKER_02

They're incredible.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. And it was local people just playing their their crafts, and that was awesome.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. So they're getting a little bit, but yeah, not much. All right.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Well, cool. So what was your favorite part of book two?

SPEAKER_01

I love the fact that you called her your Arabian horse. Oh, yeah. I think you said your black Arabian horse.

SPEAKER_02

Is that what is that what you know? That was from the first night we met. We after we had dinner, we went for a walk down Main Street because they'd we we came out of the restaurant, you know, we closed the doors basically. And they'd the the valet guys had left. So what they the valet guys did, they took the car down the road to another restaurant that stayed open later, and they left the car there with the keys. So when we came out, they said, No, your car's down at uh. So we walk down the road, and we go get we eventually got to the car, and we get in. I'm making out, whatever. And then she's lying across from the uh passenger side, across the console, and she's lying with her head in my lap. Just lying there, right? She's lying with her head in my lap. And she's kind of curled up, right? I mean, you gotta imagine, I she's freaking she's l so long, right? I mean, how does it how does a five foot eleven girl with six inch heels on the case? Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I don't know. And so she closed her eyes, and I was just I then closed my eyes. I was sitting there, and I saw this vision, right? Of this black Arabian horse galloping across the s the sky. So it was dark, so but there was a little bit of light coming in the sky, you know what I mean? But but everything else is dark. And I just knew it was her. I just knew it was her. And I could see that she was running, that she was scared, right? And that was her. She was running away from her past, you know, she was running away from her fear. And that's when I just I I just stroked her head and say, Hey, there's no you don't need to run anymore, you're safe. And then she's just snuggled over a little bit more. Unfortunately, what I didn't know, it was me that wasn't safe. That didn't become apparent until later. But I did write a poem about it, you know, and I think I put it in the book, right? It's a bean horse, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I really didn't know.

SPEAKER_02

She never saw that poem, you know. Really? Yeah. And I I wrote another poem about the how we met and everything. She never saw that either. She never saw, you know, these are things I wrote in my journal. She saw most of what was in my journal, but she didn't see that. She didn't see those two.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Well, I have to I have to tell you, the the hottest part of the book for me was the scene in the car after the dinner with her aunt and uncle's house.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was hot, right? That was I god, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, first of all, how is this even happening in the backseat of the car?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I know. It wasn't easy. I mean, to get her in the car was not easy.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, y'all must be really talented, is all I could say.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, she was really, I think I'm I say it in the book, right? She was really good at hide and seek. You could never, I could never freaking find her. She used to get herself into these tiny little spaces. It's like she was uh what do you call that? A contortionist? Yeah. She could wrap her legs all over the place, right? So it was easier for her than it was for me, right? But we did, yeah. And that was definitely a night to remember. Yeah, yeah. That's interesting that you thought that was the most the sexiest part, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Probably right, yeah. We had some screen.

SPEAKER_01

It definitely was, it definitely was, Steven.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was hot. We had some pretty hot scenes, I know, and but yeah, I just never really thought about it. And then did I tell you my dad started to read the book? Oh my god, it's no, I've written a bunch of books. He's never asked to read one of my books ever, ever, right? So then he said to me, Um, he's got a he's got a girlfriend now, right? And goes, um, her name is Sally, and he goes, Um, oh, um, do you have a copy of this? Uh uh Sally wants to read it. So, okay. I said, Well, hold on a second. Just so you're aware, right? You need to tell her. This is pretty edgy, right? I mean, is she gonna be okay with that? And he goes, Yeah, yeah, yeah, she'll be okay with it. He said, uh, I'll read it after she reads it. I said, I can give you two copies for God's sake, right? You can read it, you don't have to wait for her to get it. I said, but will you read it? I said, now you gotta also understand that it's sexy, it's edgy, right? And you're in it. He goes, I'm in it, why am I in it? I said, You're my dad, what do you mean, why are you in it, right? You know what I mean? So, and I said, You might not like all of it. You know, he goes, No, that's fine, I'll read it. Anyway, he gave up on it in the end. But he did read some of it, and I'm sure he read the part when I wrote about him, right? He's early in the book, right? He never said he never said anything about it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm surprised that he actually still wanted to read it after you told him it was, you know, sexy and edgy, because you know, the part at the Christmas dinner when she's talking about she works for this producer or whatever, and your dad's asking her all these questions.

SPEAKER_02

I know. I think I think that's in book two, Sharon. I don't think that's in book one, right? But yeah, you never got to book two. He only read about half of book one, but yeah, that's funny, right? And everyone, everyone's like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Everybody's like, oh god, please don't let it come out, you know, that she's working for a guy making soft porn.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I know, right? Oh my god. Hilarious, hilarious. You could almost you could feel the tension, couldn't you? You know, I mean, oh my god, very cool. Exactly. Funny, funny. It's a it's a really good like scene, a comedy scene, but it feels and it because it is, it's real, right? But it you could feel the tension. You could feel like what this is happening in front of my family, and this is gonna have it, right?

SPEAKER_05

Oh my god, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That was pretty cool, pretty cool. And it was funny when we get up in the morning, we're gonna be late. So my mom, you know, my mom is like, everyone's gonna be here by eight o'clock. We're not opening presents, you're gonna be on time. So I wake up, she's asleep, and she's not a fast mover in the morning, so I tell her it's 10 o'clock in the morning, we gotta go. And she's like, like a cat, right? Out of bed, she's running around, blah, blah, blah, and I get to my mom's house. And everyone's there, and uh everyone's waiting for us, and it's like, she's like, hold on a second. There's no way it's 10 o'clock right now because people are really calm, right? And she says to me, Where's my phone? So I give her a phone and she sees it's just eight o'clock. She's like, You son of a bitch. God, there's a lot of funny things there, you know. There's a lot of funny things. I thought it was pretty funny when uh we're on the cruise. Remember we're on the cruise? And I give her a hard time about the way she's a gambling because she can't say anything, yeah. She's gonna get you back, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But then she's throwing the chips in, like, you know, like throwing them away pretty much. And then she walks off, right? And so I didn't realize that she'd taken my key, the key card, which you can buy anything with, you know. So now I'm looking all over the ship for her. See what I mean? I couldn't find her. I just I I so I gave up. I go back to the room and I turn on the TV, and on the TV you can see your bill, right? And I'm sitting there watching this freaking bill go up and up and up and up. She's spending money all over the freaking ship. Oh my gosh. So I'm like, oh dear God, now what I'm gonna do. So after about two hours and five thousand dollars later, she calls the room, right? This is how clever she is, right? She calls the room, where are you? I mean, I'm in the freaking room. What do you mean where am I? I've been looking everywhere for you. So I decided, um, you know, I felt really bad about losing all that money, so I decided to try and win it back.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_02

And then I realized I'm just not good at gambling. What are you gonna say now, right? And if I do say anything, she's only gonna do it again, right? I can't, there's nothing I can do, right? Exactly. We're gonna cruise for like five or six days, whatever. And then she says, you know, because we met the dancers before the dinner. And they said, you know, let's get back to let's get together later, right? So now she's with the the dancers, the men and the women, right? Oh, we're having a few drinks down here, why don't you come down? Yeah. It's pretty crazy. And that's the night, I think. Because at the end, she said she doesn't want to stop, right? She's like, come back to our room, we'll party. And of course they can't because they're crew and they can't go back to a guest room, right? So uh she came back and uh we fucked on the table underneath the balcony at the back of the ship and almost got thrown out, right? Yeah, that was never, never ended.

SPEAKER_01

That was great.

SPEAKER_02

And he comes over the loud speaker in the morning. We've already met the captain, right? And he's talking about, well, I heard you guys had some uh fun last night, you know, just generally. And everybody on the ship knew about it, right? So anyway. Fun, fun, fun.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we promised, Steven, if you go on a cruise with us, it won't end up like that. So just so you know. I'm not sure. I don't know if I can trust you two.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway, hey, we're pretty chill. We're pretty chill.

SPEAKER_01

Uh well, I'll send you I'll send you the book that I just finished.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, it's called uh Wrong Turns, Right People, and uh it's about friendship and travel adventures, and the ladies are named Shay and Anna, you know, pretty close to Shannon and Ann, if you know, if you catch the drift there. Yeah, and you can find out how crazy Ann is to travel with by reading the stories.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's not believed that.

SPEAKER_04

I am so I am so calm and laid back. I have no clue what she's talking about.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay, sure. As you all know.

SPEAKER_02

Is that until she has a drink, Shannon? Is that she gets a little wild and crazy, which is a couple?

SPEAKER_01

She does no, she is a people person and she is constantly like meeting people and getting their whole life stories and then getting caught up in the craziness of that, or we're out looking at something like she almost got arrested in DC. What? Went to DC because we're out touring the monuments and our driver told her, don't go past this point at the uh where were we at? The not the we were at the Capitol building. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We're at the Capitol.

SPEAKER_01

And he said, Don't go past this point, you know, because that's the security point or whatever.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

What did she do? She sees this door that she wants to know what it is, and there's some security guys up there by the door. So she just drops her little happy butt up there. And as she's approaching, I hear, like you can hear the them on the walkie-talkies, and uh then all of a sudden you see sirens and lights, and all these cop cars come swarming up. But she doesn't get arrested. In the end, she just they tell they come on the speaker and tell everybody, oh, it's fine, it's fine. Just a tourist wanted to see a door or whatever. And then she's up there laughing and cutting up with them, done made friends, but yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's awesome. That is a great story.

SPEAKER_01

That's the kind of crazy adventures we get up to.

SPEAKER_02

That's wonderful.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, my my daughter was with us that night.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So what was your favorite? What was your favorite part of London? What did you go for dinner? Did you go to see Harrod's? Did you go to see Trafalgar Square? What did you do?

SPEAKER_04

I wanted to lock, yeah, I wanted to walk across London Bridge and see the Tower Bridge.

SPEAKER_02

That was yeah, yeah. We did the thing about it is you can't do it in one trip. So it gives you a lot to go back for, right? You get a flavor, you get a flavor of it, you see a little bit of this, a little bit of that. But there's just so much to see and so much history, right? Too much history.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. We went to uh St. Paul's Cathedral, that was amazing, absolutely beautiful.

SPEAKER_05

Unbelievable.

SPEAKER_01

I almost died climbing the 520 whatever steps, yeah, steps it is to go up to the top part.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's amazing. And then what is like Nelson's column? I mean, that and the thing is most of them are pretty close together, right? You could just walk around. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, a lot of it was.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we rode the tube. That that was a cool experience riding the tube. Oh, yeah. And and uh we went to Borough Market, which was awesome. So many good foods to choose from to eat at Borough Market.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. So many vendors.

SPEAKER_02

It was I like that kind of stuff. It's like it's very uh it's real, right? It makes you feel really and you can start you you can imagine how it was hundreds of years ago. It probably wasn't that hard. Kind of the tradition, it's been around a long, long time. Right. Maybe the clothes have changed a little bit, but the people haven't really. The personalities, right?

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_04

It did have a very old world feel to it. I loved it. Yeah, like you know.

SPEAKER_02

But what was that detective? You know who I mean. Sherlock Holmes. Oh, Sherlock Holmes, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So you're walking around down there. I mean, it's a great country. Did you get out? Did you go to the lake district or anything? You didn't have a lot of time. I know you didn't weren't there for like months or anything. So there are some really nice places away from London, like Bath, like uh the Lake District and other areas that Cornwall is very beautiful. But there are places, all these places you can go next time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's what that's what we have to do for next time. The only place outside of London that we went was uh we went to Canterbury and then we went down to Dover, which is where we caught the or got on the ship at was in Dover.

SPEAKER_02

So those white cliffs are amazing, aren't they? Incredible.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, that was beautiful.

SPEAKER_02

Well, Canterbury, because of course it's famous for the cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, yeah. Yep.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's it's kind of cool in a way because it's it's obviously a tiny country, but there's so many things to see, you know, so much history and so many places to go. So it'll be a while and quite a few trips before you run out of places to go. And the people are great, you know, and we love Americans, you know that we just love Americans.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, everywhere we went, everybody was so nice and yeah, yes, and welcoming. Yeah, we met people would just talk to you, so which is different than in America, you know, people kind of stand off and don't just approach you.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's true.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they want to know all about you, right?

SPEAKER_01

And exactly, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

America. Everybody wants to come to America. I don't know why. I mean, I do, but I don't, yeah, you know, I'm being I mean, I, you know, when we were kids, people used to get like pissed off with Americans coming over and saying how everything was bigger in America, not just Texas. And uh, we would make all kinds of jokes about it, you know what I mean? Like uh, it would say, like, uh, you know, compete with them, right? So they would say, uh, you know, people would go out in in in the in the parks and they used to have these little tiny paddle boats, right? And so this joke goes on about you know, there's Americans come over here and oh, we got ships bigger than you know, like you know, ships so much bigger than that, whatever. And when these little boats would be out, you know, they would call them in. Hey, number 26, come in now, your time is up, you know what I mean? So this guy, yeah, they're in the port and the QE2 comes down the river and he goes, Hey, number nine, come on in. Like it's a tiny little boat comparison. Oh my gosh. Oh, yeah. But then one day when I went back, right? I hadn't been in 20 years, so I go back, and it sounds kind of awful, but everything seems so tiny. Tiny houses, tiny cars, right? And I'm thinking, I can't say anything when I go, I can't say it into friends and family. They'll freaking kill me, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_02

But it was not a word, not a word, not a word. Mom's the word, right? But it's true. It's true. The houses are smaller, everything is smaller, you know.

SPEAKER_01

That is true, yeah. Even the hotel rooms are smaller.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you notice, right? Yeah, you're like, Yes, we did. What is this? The the where's the other room?

SPEAKER_01

Right, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's true. See, you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. So, Steven, without giving anything away, what's different about book two versus book one?

SPEAKER_02

Well, it's a good question. Uh you know, when I've read through when, you know, when I read two, I go, this is crazier than book one. You know, it's so I think it is a little bit, yeah. Especially at the beginning, right?

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. When I go on a trip and she steals the cars and the house and everything off me again, right? Ay, ay, yay. And then she gets thrown out of the community, right? I mean, who does that, right? You know, the director of the community says you can't live here anymore, you gotta get her out, right? So then I have to start putting her up in hotels, right? I mean, it's insane, you know, it's insane. And then, of course, she wants to hook me up with Tracy at the Fritz Carlton, right? Oh, yeah, that was crazy. Wasn't it?

SPEAKER_01

That was crazy. I was like, what is happening?

SPEAKER_02

I know, right? And she's saying, Oh, Steven, look at her legs. And then Tracy's lifting her skirt up to show me, like, oh my god, this is really now. Most guys will be going, man, this is awesome. What's wrong with you? You know what I mean? I'm not into it, right? So then I leave, right? And of course, she comes out after me, and she's, you know, she jumps in the rolls like like a freaking uh stunt woman. How did she manage to pull the suicide door and jump in the car? I'll never know. And then we're driving down the road and she's still going on and on and on about it. And we'd just come from Vegas, right? Where I left her in the end, because she got so in the road. I left, right? So finally I said to her, Tomaz, if you don't shut up, I'm gonna leave you here and you're gonna walk back to your hotel. Now she knew I might, right? Because I just left her in Vegas. So then she folds her arms like, right now, she's not saying anything, right? And I go back to the hotel. She gets out, slams the door, of course, right? As hard as she can, knowing that'll piss me off. So then I end up going to my former girlfriend's house, right? Oh no. And I get there and I park the Rolls-Royce outside. I get out, but I'm I stop the car, and then I'm gonna go and where's my fob? She took the fob. So now the engine's off. I can't start that car again without the fob.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was I was laughing during that part. I was like, Oh, that was slick, man.

SPEAKER_02

She good, she good. So Very good. I end up at the end of the night to take an Uber home. We had to tow the rolls away, right? So I end up that night in my bed and I'm thinking to myself, hold on a second. I left home at the beginning of the night with a Rolls Royce. I pick up my beautiful girlfriend, I take her to the Ritz-Carlton. She then brings out another beautiful girl who wants to also sleep with me. I leave the Ritz-Carlton, drop her at home, go see my former girlfriend, and I end up with no Rolls Royce, no Rolls Royce, no girlfriends. Didn't even have sex with my ex. And then I end up coming home with an Uber. I'm about the only guy I know that could pull that off. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_05

Jeez.

SPEAKER_04

It was it was definitely a rough night for sure for you guys.

SPEAKER_02

It was a rough night. Thank you for noticing, Anne. And I appreciate your sympathy. But anyway. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know, she got kicked out of the community, right? And they said she couldn't come back no matter what. They had her picture up and all this. Everything. Then how did you bring her home at Christmas?

SPEAKER_02

The Christmas was before. Christmas was before.

SPEAKER_01

So that was before she got kicked out of the city. Well, actually, because in the book it seems like it's after.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, in secret. Because she came Christmas Eve and it was very late. And we never left the house for a few days. That's right. She would she was there when she wasn't supposed to be, and I took a chance, right? But because it was the whole because it was the holidays, we were thinking, well, there's not gonna be that many people around, you know. But then, so then she's gonna go back. Remember, she's working for the guy in the movies by then, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And she doesn't like working for him. Well, you know, she doesn't like working for him, and he's pretty mean, right? But of course, that's part of her sub story, so I'll I'll take her back, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Of course I did, you know, and I'm trying to hold my ground a little bit. I'm nervous. So I said, Well, you're gonna you'll go back and I'll bring you back here, like I don't know, 10th of 11th of January. She's like, what difference does 10 days make? Well, the difference 10 days make, it gives me time to regroup and really think about what I'm gonna do, right? Yeah. And that's when I started put her up in hotel. Yeah, so I got her in the hotel at the near the right next to the airport. Well, no, no, that wasn't the first one. The first one was the there was a bunch of hotels that put her up in at different times. First one was the holiday in. Then it was another holiday in, and it's the set she was at the second holiday inn when I took her out that night. Because at this is, you know, at the weekend before I took her out, she went on a she went on a bin, she ended up at a couple's house, you know, doing the the the multiple partner thing. Although, you know, I I would call her up and say, Well, no, there's nothing going on. I think I'm stupid. Anyway, and I picked her up, and of course, you know, she's oh I'm you know, I'm so sorry, but you know, nothing happened. And then she and then of course, within within two minutes from apologizing and taking responsibility, it's my fault, right? Well, you know, if you didn't leave me here, you didn't go away every week. I mean, what am I to do? You know, what am I gonna just stay in a hotel all week and I had to go out, you know what I mean? So it was my fault, right? And she says, you know, you go out, you go, you know, speaking in these other cities. God knows how many women you got in these different cities, you know, you know, throwing the throwing me. And then she says, and then when you come home, you're tired and you never want to go out. So I take responsibility. And that's when I said, All right, well, when I come back next time, we'll go out on a date. And that was the date when I was taking her out that night in the rolls to the Ritz, and she screwed that up too. I mean, she's just a piece of work. You know, what are you gonna do? Try as I might.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

And then there's the whole scene about the engagement. You remember that? Yes. She would just pull stuff. I mean, she was a she was strategic, wasn't she? She could take like 10 paces down the street, and you're still like your head's in the clouds, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. For sure.

SPEAKER_02

Well, she's very practiced. I wonder if she's done this before. Well, interesting you say that, because what happened was when she got back in contact with me again. And then she's telling all these people it's all lies, you know. I said, I should probably get some receipts for all this stuff having happened, right? So I started I contacted other hotels, I contacted the uh sheriff's department, both here in Florida, and then I and then she got with the guy, the the the uh MMA fighter in Miami. And she got arrested because I bailed her out. I bailed her out, of course, right? And so I knew there was a record. So I go get the records. I didn't even know you could do that. I had to do some investigation, but it's public record, right? So they sent me all the records. I mean, it was pages and pages of stuff, right? But at one point, in the document, it says, you know, her father is blah, blah, blah. And he says he'll help in any way he can. He told me before that, you know, he felt like she needed, she needed, she needed retribution. He said, the best thing that can happen for is she gets cool. But in the documents, it says, and he said, she's been doing this for 20 years. I knew it. Wow.

SPEAKER_04

She is just too good. She's she's slick. She knows exactly what to do to hurt you the most.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, not only hurt you, we get away with it. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say she's very familiar with how the laws work and what you can and can't do. And right, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. She's really good. Yeah, that's another reason why I can't be in touch with her. She's freaking dangerous. Yeah, she is. She could set you up. Yeah, totally, totally set me up. Yeah. She wanted me to go out. She's in Tulum, Mexico. So she says, when do you come out here? There's a resort near here. We could we could go to this resort. And yeah, I'm like, gotta be freaking kidding me. I wouldn't go you to go, I wouldn't go with you to a resort in America, let alone, let alone in freaking Mexico. In Mexico, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Not at all. No, something could happen to you there. For sure. Exactly. For sure. Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But anyway, so lots of stories, lots of drama, a lot of stress, right? Yeah.

unknown

All right.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_04

I said you are completely past it now. So thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, and thank you for your thank you for your confidence in me. I actually agree with you. I really am confident that I would never go through that again ever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, Steven, I enjoyed both book one and two. I and I am looking forward to book three, so I can hopefully I'll get an ending. I don't know. I may find out that there's a book four. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

You know what's you know what's funny? You know what's funny, Shannon? Is we said, you know, as all this started to happen, and the girls that work in the office, you know, they're all going, I think we've started book four. Might have been. We might have done, you know. And of course, you know, she said, well, the first thing she said when she got in touch with me was, you know, I want part of the royalties when this becomes a Netflix series, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So she's not gone forever, right? Because I think this will become a Netflix series or one of those stations. And of course, then she's going to be back with a vengeance, right?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, exactly. Exactly. For sure. Yeah. With her hand out.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Yes. As I think about it though, ladies, you know, I don't know that it's about the money. It's about the fame. It's about being attached to something that will make her look successful so that she can say that or make herself look like that in her father's eyes.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because let's face it, if she really wanted the money, she could just make up with her father and she'd be golden.

SPEAKER_04

Right, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

You know what I mean?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

She's not worried about the money. She wants the limelight. She wants the limelight. That's a good way to put it. Yeah. Yeah. That's right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. Well, I think one of the reasons people connected with you so much wasn't because of your looks, although that is a plus, Steven, or your sexy accent. But you do have a lot of answers. And mostly because you're willing to be honest and vulnerable. And that's that's a wonderful quality. And so we're so thankful that you brought that to us.

SPEAKER_02

You're so welcome. Yeah, you know, and uh the book is a catalyst, you know. It was a what we would call a toxic relationship, right? I I call it now a Venus flytrap relationship, right? Right. Right. But it was a catalyst, you know. I learned so much from that, but it woke me up to things that I already knew but needed refining, right? And so now when you ask me what's going on, and I didn't mention this for whatever reason, I don't know why I mentioned it. I am starting to build a philosophy, right? Because of this happening, right? Yes, talking about toxic relationships and how to, you know, listen to our intuition, see the red flags, but also see them as a great opportunity to learn, right? Probably the greatest learning opportunity in my life. So that, you know, people that are in a toxic relationship, you don't need to fight feel bad about it. It's supposed to happen. It's a mirror and you're gonna learn a lot, right? But it doesn't mean you're gonna let it happen again, right?

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Because if you don't learn from it, if you don't see the mirror, you don't see the opportunities, you will have it will happen again. You can there's nothing you can do about it because it's electromagnetic magnetic energy. We say, but magnets for this stuff. Yes, you are. And the way to change that is to change your energy, to heal some of those wounds that you didn't even realize were created in your childhood. And so from there, building on that, becoming what I call a heartist. So I believe that going forward, the conscious, the evolution of consciousness is going to come by us reconnecting with our heart. What I mean by that is it used to be that the heart was the master of the mind. And now the mind is the master of the heart. We're out of balance. The UP elders call this the reverse society or the inside out society. They say that we used to teach people, we used to teach our children how to live. Now we teach them how to make a living. We used to listen to the heart. Nobody listens to the heart anymore. It's the mind. And the mind is either in the past or the present, it's never in the now. The heart is always in the now. So listen to your heart. That's true. You know? So I believe that. And so heartist is derived from the word heart, obviously. And when you connect to your heart, you're creating to the creative source. Your creative energy, your artistic energy. Heart is right. And so to get to being a heartist along the journey, you know, like anything, it's a journey. It's not the destination that's important. It's how you live along the journey, right? And so your journey to being a heartist is through practicing heartism, living from your heart. And the ancients said, didn't they, live from your heart, speak from your heart? If it's true, it will be heartfelt. So using all these principles of sacred geometry, vibration, all these things, letting go of the lower vibrational energy of hurt, of pain, of anger, of jealousy, all these lower vibrational energies that weigh you down. If you can heal that, change the vibration, let out that energy, it makes you feel lighter. Your vibration gets higher. And eventually you become enlightened, right? You just become lighter and lighter. You know what I mean? Right. So yeah, I'm building that philosophy, which is really beautiful. So I'm excited about that too. So I got a lot going on. It sounds like it's I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

SPEAKER_01

That's good. That's good. We're glad you're not going anywhere anytime soon.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Well, that that's yeah, because then I can come on here and flush it out with you guys, right?

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Beautiful.

SPEAKER_01

So, Steven, I think we can officially say you're no longer a guest, you're part of the family.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's amazing. That means a lot to me. Thank you so much.

SPEAKER_01

And and with that said, we we are expecting a place at the table at Thanksgiving. So we'll be there. Make sure our place is ready.

SPEAKER_02

You might have to bring the table. You might have to bring the table. I'll have a table. But yes, of course. Yeah. Wouldn't it be amazing? One day we'll do that, right? It'll be amazing. I can see it in my mind. I can see it in my mind.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

It'll be the best Thanksgiving ever. But next time we gotta, you gotta ask me about another Thanksgiving, but I had amazing Thanksgiving. When I went out to give food to the homeless.

SPEAKER_01

They're in Florida or is that in Florida?

SPEAKER_02

No, it's in San Diego, California.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Yeah, we'll save that for next time. But I don't want to rush the story, right? But yeah, exactly. Yeah, amazing. Yeah, yeah. And this is what's happening as I'm doing all this. All those memories. I got so many memories that I they were kind of in a way forgotten. I have not really revisited them in so long, but there's so many things that I've done through my life. That um so the writing isn't gonna be over for a long time. There's gonna be there's the Venus flight trap one, two, three. There is after the Venus flight trap, and guess what? There is before the Venus flight trap. Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then the movie's coming shortly after.

SPEAKER_02

It will, yeah. And then the series, and then there's all kinds of obviously we're doing a podcast now. There will be audio programs, and then there's all these other books that are gonna be coming out too. So I think I uh I think I got a little work to do, ladies. I got a little bit to do. No time optimity. I'll get there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. I will get there. And I'm excited about it, you know? I'm excited about it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're excited for you too. Yeah, that's really amazing. It really is, Steven.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

And also, I'm excited to see who will play you in the movie.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, me too. I haven't thought about that. Have you thought have you thought about that?

SPEAKER_02

Who no, no, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Who would you want to play you in the movie?

SPEAKER_02

Well, who I want to play me would never play me because they're not that old, right? But you know, I mean, who would who would a guy pick, right? You go Brad Pitt. Yeah, well, you don't look like Brad Pitt, and he's like, he's too young.

SPEAKER_01

No, you don't you don't want Brad Pitt. Come on, he's he's right, Brad Pitt is over and done with. We don't want him.

SPEAKER_02

No, so who? Come on, ladies, who who do you think? Somebody. Well, you don't have to tell me now. It's something you gotta get serious about. I'm gonna have to think about this.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to think on it, but I'm gonna I'm gonna put put some thought into that. Next time we meet, I'll tell you who I think it should be.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's your assignment for the next time we get together. You're gonna tell me you also gotta think about who would play tomorrow.

SPEAKER_04

Lord, yeah. That wouldn't be hard. There's plenty of really you think cunning actresses out there that could play her.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, all right. Well, I'd be interested to see what you think anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, that'll be what that'll be what we let you know the next time we get back together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. We'll do our picks on you. You've seen the song, right? Yes, yes, pretty pretty good song.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the song is excellent. Yeah, very good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. You know, this feels like we never stopped talking the first time. You just pick it up, right? Basically, it feels like episode two, and we just pause the conversation for a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

I feel the same way.

SPEAKER_04

So thank you for this. Really good.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you for having me back. It was a real always a delight. Like I said, honestly, I was tired earlier and I'm like, oh my god, I'm gonna be okay. And as soon as I saw you ladies, I'm like, oh, this is gonna be awesome. Well, remind our audience.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. Remind our audience, Steven, where everyone can find you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so uh we've sent you a link. We should have sent you. Anyway, check the link. If it is, it should be book one still, because I think a lot of people have not read book one yet. And I think it's better to read book one before book two, don't you think?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you definitely have to read it. Definitely.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, book one first. Yeah. It was the first three chapters of the book, a complimentary. You just got to click the link that we sent to you guys. And of course, I uh I I do do counseling. And if anybody thinks they might, based on our conversation, they're probably thinking you're not interested. But you know, you can get on there and click the link and you can get a complimentary session with me. You're going, I don't know that I should be learning from you, Stephen. It sounds like you really messed it up. Well, yes, I did, and maybe no, I didn't. Maybe I learned more than I've ever learned in my life before, which helps me to help people get through these kind of things. And first of all, sometimes get out of them, right? And then make sure you don't get back in one ever again, right? So give you the tools to be able to do that. So yeah, if you're interested in that or just working on different areas of your life where you may think you're or feel like you're repeating patterns that keep showing up, we should chat. And then we can see if there's a connection and if you feel like I can help you with it, we'll go from there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Sounds good. And I mean, I honestly think, Stephen, after hearing our conversations with you, that if I felt like I needed a counseling session or something, I would want to reach out to you because you're so easy to talk to.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Very much uh very down to earth.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, very open, non-judgmental. So yeah, that's the kind of counselor that you want.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly. Well, thank you. Well, maybe you missed your calling.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, well, maybe my calling came late. Maybe my calling came late. Maybe maybe I'm living, maybe I'm living my calling now.

SPEAKER_04

What do you think? Maybe I'm thinking you are, sir. I think you are.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, maybe he's in his three Ps right now: passion, purpose, and paycheck.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly. No, you'll have to reverse that. Reverse that's the paycheck in the middle. Oh purpose on the end.

SPEAKER_05

This is his purpose. I love it.

SPEAKER_02

I love that. The three P's. What was it again?

SPEAKER_01

Passion, purpose, and paycheck.

SPEAKER_02

Purpose, passion, and paycheck. I gotta write that down. Hang on. Purpose, I love it. Because when someone says it's the three P's, right? Yeah. Passion, purpose, purpose, and paycheck.

SPEAKER_01

And paycheck.

SPEAKER_02

You know, when someone says it's uh, you know, whatever you go, well, what is AIDS? You say you're thinking of some like very reasonable, normal thing, and you go, it's whatever. Passion, yeah, purpose, yeah, and paycheck. It's kind of hits you, right? Yeah, but it's right, it's true. Right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it is so true. Definitely true. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, thank you again, Steven. It's been a pleasure talking to you again, and we look forward to the next time we have you on because you definitely have to come back on. So I can't wait.

SPEAKER_02

For sure. Really appreciate it, ladies. We'll make it soon. In the meantime, you guys are awesome. I I feel like I'm part of your family, you're part of my family. So definitely. I can't wait for us to get back together again soon.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we feel the same.

SPEAKER_02

A little chat. We'll spill the tea, right? Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

We'll spill the tea, yep. And to our listeners, until next time, keep traveling and keep making memories for life. Bye, everyone.

SPEAKER_05

Bye everyone. Bye, everybody. Bye bye.

SPEAKER_00

Travel time story. Come here along with us.
